A concept plan is proposed to our customer and may include drawings. Once a concept plan is approved, a detailed implementation plan including costings is developed for the customer.

We specialize in tāonga plant species, where the seed is locally sourced from the area we are planting in. This ensures the plant has the optimum conditions for it to thrive.
We work with our customers to ensure the right species for the right conditions. Whether that be dry-land species, wetland species, edge species and so on.
Once the species and numbers are decided on, we propagate and grow on these species for our customers ahead of ideal planting conditions and according to the principles of mātauranga-based-permaculture.
We have set times for our Eco Tours. The tours take place onsite. You will see how the property has been transformed into a natural haven for plants, animals and people. What was once a mono-crop maize farm for 16 years, and a stock and dairy farm for 30 years before that, the transformation is stunning and the work continues.

Pātaka is short for pātaka kai or food cupboard in the māori language. So Pātaka represents the fresh seasonal produce grown by our hands in a sustainable and considerate way. The fruit and veg has high nutritional value and tastes amazing. Unlike the bulk of the produce grown for supermarkets available to the masses, our produce serves our local community. Therefore, the food miles are almost non-existent. The produce is often eaten on the day it is harvested. Depending on the season we have the following for sale and more. This service is only available onsite at the farm.
